Ray Anne has led study groups for post graduate occupational therapists since 2004. The groups consist of 4 -10 members. The groups are held once a month. Groups are scheduled for 2 hours and run at 8:30, 11:30 and 14:00. Time is kept aside before and after the groups for socializing and supporting one another. The aim is to develop therapists further as an occupational therapist, support one another and education in the area of pediatric OT. OTASA members will receive CPD points
In January the provisional programme of topics are chosen by each group. These are subject to change according to the group’s request. We often work on a project and then the members share the information. Ray Anne prepares the lecture and relevant notes are emailed to members. Members commit to come monthly to the group. Members are encouraged to bring cases that they need assistance with to share in the group.
Ray Anne is a mentor for INSTOPP (Institute for Private Practitioners) under the auspices of OTASA (Occupational Therapy Association of South Africa. She also does mentoring for SAISI (South African Institute for Sensory Integration) and mentors with the writing of protocols and the Fidelity Measure.
Ray Anne lectures on a variety of topics related to her work for either occupational therapists, teacher, parents and allied health professionals. These are done as face to face or as via internet.
